Q: Are you USA Hockey and IAHA sanctioned?
A: Yes!
Q: What’s the importance of being USA Hockey approved?
A: USA hockey is the national governing body for ice hockey in the US. Within USA Hockey, there is a proven ADM model that places a heightened emphasis on skill development and long term athlete development principles, providing a blueprint for the best possible youth hockey experience. It offers a greater opportunity of game play between multiple organizations closer to home.

Q: What age do I sign up for?
A: Your division will be the age your child is at time of season begin.
Q: How many practices are there each week?
A: 2-3
Q:Where are practices?
A: The majority of practices will be held at The Neutral Zone in Rexburg. We plan to use Rink 99 as an alternative for extra training and when scheduling conflicts arise.
Q: What’s the difference between house and travel?
A: House
House league is for those that are just starting hockey for the first time or have 1-2 years of experience. Practices are twice per week for 45min with a possible 3rd practice on occasion. As far as games go, a season consists of scrimmages or sometimes called friendlies and tournaments. Scrimmages can be during the week that are played against another in-house team or on the weekend against another organization and vice versa. Typically, there is one home tournament and one or two away tournaments. These are played on weekends; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
A: Travel
Travel league is for those that have 2+ years of experience and are looking for more. Practices will be twice per week for 90min with a possible 3rd practice on occasion. Games are played during tournament weekends; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These tournaments will either be in Idaho or in surrounding states. There will be a home tournament as well.
Q: What is included in registration costs?
A: Registration price includes practice ice times (approx. 48 practices), a practice jersey (loaner) and scrimmages. Extra practices (Rink 99) and tournaments will be additional.
Q: Do you need skating lessons before signing up for hockey?
A: Please note that you do not need to have skating experience to start with our hockey program. However, we understand that it is highly beneficial for fundamental development. We are currently working with the Utah Mammoth for a great opportunity to offer learn to skate for our community. Stay tuned for more information.
Q: Are teams Co-Ed?
A: Yes, at the younger divisions, teams are Co-Ed. Like most neighboring organizations we plan to consolidate into an all girls team at the appropriate time. There’s also all girls jamborees throughout the season that we can get involved in.
